There is a Gibson ES-125 for sale reasonably near me and i want to know if $850 is reasonable, my friend Denny tells me all the time to get an old Gibby hollow body

The ES-125 was sort of a "student model" guitar and not particulary collectible. But for 50-year-old wood, you'd probably get a pretty good tone out of it. Consider a new Takamine acoustic-electric as an alternative for about the same price. Personally, I'd go for the Tak .... You can plug it into a Fender G-Dec for all sorts of sounds.
