I loved Contraband, not a big fan of the second effort.
I was really, really hoping when Weiland left that Chris Cornell would replace him. That would have been great.

I dont care for the Velvet revolver stuff much at all. There are a couple songs that I like a lot though.

The two Snakepit Albums were IMO pretty good. Slash played a bit different back then. Still sounded a lot like the GNR stuff.

What I am looking forward too is his solo album that he is doing with multiple artists.

With any band that has Weiland in it, I always think,"How long till he relapses?" Now that he isn't with Velvet Revolver...well I never really thought of Velvet Revolver too much at any point in my life, other than when I was working as a DJ and they first came out on the scene...unfortunately, they just ended up like many other "supergroups" in which the individual members have super resumes, are super talented, but somehow fail to write super music together...I mean they had some good tunes, but to me, nothing that will last the passage of time like Appetite for Destruction or the first couple of STP records...I still like those songs whenever I hear them, whereas with Velvet Revolver, I just see myself going,"oh yeah, I forgot they did that.", a few years down the road...

meh. Just mainstream hard rock.

They sure got a lot of mileage offa one hit though, "Fall to Pieces". Kinda like Collective Soul with "Shine"

I like Duff OK.

Weiland just can't get his act together. When he was in his peak with STP (one of my favorite bands), he was amazing and 10x the singer Ax-hole Rose would ever be. He has the worst voice I've ever heard in my life.

I never cared for Slash either. He's done some good studio work at times. I've never been impressed with him otherwise and think he's WAAAY overrated. Never been a GNR fan anyway.
