I have been working hard on making up my own solos. This has been really chagllenging for me so I that has been the main thing I have been practicing.

ya, i've been practicing many patterns and stuff in each key so i can eventually get to the point where someone can name me a key and i can make a nice solo right off the top of my head... i can jam pretty well, but it takes my time to get all of the scales in my head in memorized though

I was messing around with a Vibroverb last night and, even though I've never played it before in my life, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds started coming out of my guitar. I think I need to lay down a few tracks and see how it comes out.

I have a hard time with pinch harmonics. Sometimes I just hit the right spot and sometimes I can't find that spot at all. I've been sort of focused on scales. I've been playing for 14 years or something but I only got into learning scales a year or two ago.

I've always messed around with it, but lately I've got serious about chicken pickin'.

It seems to come natural to me.

To the other guy learning some SRV stuff. Good luck with it, you'll probably come out with some battle scars, hehe.

^ ya me too but mines an acoustic and i don't feel like puttin down ten bucks for a strap (i'm saving for an tele and i already am going broke because of all of my broken strings)

umm right now i've been experimenting with some solos (rhcp, nirvana etc.) i've also been doing some led zeppelin and guns n roses. although this stuff sounds weird and is kinda hard to play on my acoustic i'm gonna keep at it till i get my tele. btw sweet child o mine is strang to play on an acoustic because the frets used are on the guitar's body so it's very awkward.

I've been a strummer for most of my years playing. I'm forcing myself to learn leads. Too many times I've been writing a song and thought "this would be better with leads right here instead of just strumming more chords". I'm hoping this fills in the blanks and makes me feel a bit more confident about performing in public again (I used to just do vocals, no instrument).

I've woken up a few times realizing that I'm hearing the chromatic scale in my dreams.
