A rollicking version of "I Saw Her Standing There". Dave Grohl was on drums, looking like he was having a great time. And the violin bass!

Sir Paul looked good...maybe a bit too good. Complete with his boyish Beatles haircut. Wasn't he looking a bit more like an old man, a few years ago?

But they rocked out, and I hope I'm doing as well when I'm 66.

I agree. Probably the highlight of the Grammys in my opinion.

Definitely THE highlight for alot of people and artists at the show....

it might be me....... but at the end, I noticed quite a few rappers ( I think) who just sat there when everyone else was applauding !!!!

I liked Paul. He's one of the greatest to me, and the bestest Beatles in my opinion.

I thought the whole thing of making him, neil diamond and I think some others play their old songs, in the middle of a modern grammy show just seemed very out of place. Like they were just thrown in as an afterthought.

Like, Ok - we'll put all these modern people and songs in the line up as usual. And, oh yeah. Have a few older guys play their old hits. Maybe with some new guys backing them up. Ok. We're all set for this year!

I didn't like the oddness of that for what seemed like no reason. Maybe if there were a theme for the show, but.....

I just watched it on YouTube. Good performance.

And then, of course, I spent about an hour looking at other Beatles-related videos. YouTube is awesome! 8)

I thought Mac was the best part, but truth be told, I saw less than half of the show.

I sat through the whole mess, and I agree that McCartney & Grohl were one of the few bright spots. Dave looked as though he was really into it too... didn't he?

I do. Many people always think Lennon was the star.

Paul was the most naturally musical Beatle. Some of George's songs are amongst my faves, but he had to work at it much harder than Paul to keep up.

Lennon doing the words, Paul the music: hmm, that's a formula that could work...

Cheers - C

Maybe if, regrettably, Paul had been shot instead we would think he was the star.
