I would like your opinions on U2's song that was performed on the Grammys. I personally didn't care for it. I think it was called Get On Your Boots. Let me know what you think.

I got of got off the whole U2 train with their album Zoo Station, when they went all Berlin and self-conscious and artsy. This sounded pretty much like more of the same, to me.

I got off the U2 train even before that. But their performance was good. The song was solid, and Edge plays with such a unique style. Thumbs up from me.

U2's always great to me. That wasn't one of my favorites though. Not a huge fan of "The Edge", since he always does pretty much the exact same damn thing for every song. Yeah, the picking/overlaying/delay thing was cool - THE FIRST 400 TIMES!

But - they're good, solid. Always sound perfect live - true professionals.

Wow, gotta disagree with alot of the opinions on U2. Although I enjoyed everything up to and including Joshua Tree ALOT (i LOVE Exit, such an underrated song), I think Achtung Baby was their best. They really kicked everything up a notch on that 1. They sort of did what I thought Faith No Mores "The Real Thing" did. It gave rock music a kick in the balls and said "Lets use some imagnation people". Edges playing on the Zoo TV tour was outstanding. He rocked the hell out of his Strat on "The Fly" "Until The End Of The World" and "Bullet The Blue Sky".

Then "Zooropa" came and everyone goofed on it. Call me crazy ( I say that alot) but I thought it was a very neat album. Good songs. A Couple were goofy yes. But overall good.

Then "Pop". Another goofed on album that I really liked. Again a couple goofy songs but solid overall.

After "Pop" they started getting corny and spiraling downward. I think U2 has gotten sort of (dare I say this) lazy creatively.

So to sum it up, call me a Zoo U2 fan :D

The performance was good, but the song was nothing special... I was never a big die hard U2 fan. I don't hate them or anything... and most of the time I get the message. But, there's something about them that irks me.
