Well, you could think of something you might see every day, like GrayScale or Windblown, something like that would be cool. But it also should flow with what music you play.

What type of music are u gonna play ?

The band name should reflect the type of music . For example a band called ' The screaming banshees from hell' will probably not be a Country and Western band

I mentioned this in another posting but back in 68, my band didn't really have a name despite having played a few paying gigs. One day, the drummer's aunt comes down in the basement (where we had rehearsal) and after listening to a couple tunes loudly says: that stuff you're playing is GARBAGE ... junk, trash! You boys should get haircuts and get some kind of a JOB where you can make something of yourselves.

So we called the band garbage, only in Greek! Our singer had a Greek uncle who used to yell "scarbitia!!!! scarbitia!!!!" at his wife all day long. Ken's (singer) understanding was that it mean garbage or trash in Greek, so that's what we called the band.

To this day, I don't know if the word really means garbage in Greek or for that matter anything at all. We used a phonetic spelling of how this guy said it and even at the time had no clue as to whether or not we were even close.

But no matter: audiences thought the name sounded exotic and we had our inside joke. Of course, we also liked the idea of having a one word band name at a time when some groups were enumerations of each member's name, had some "cosmic" significance or were indecipherable multi-quasi-word conglomerations.

And, when someone asked us which one of us was "Scarbitia" we could look 'em right in the eye and say "none of us, we hope!" :)

English - garbage
Greek - σκουπίδια OR skoupidia

You were close enough I guess.

(I used a translator. Who knows if its even correct. lol)
