GC's having huge sales. Also, long-term and zero-interest financing.

I was just shopping around for a new Epi or Gibby Les Paul or 335 and I noticed a peculiar thing, Epis and Gibby's Prices have been creeping up while we're micro-analyzing Fenders Market Flux, just about all the other guitar companies have raised thier prices too. By quite a bit.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but it appears PRS's "affordable" SE series guitars have gone up, but by a more modest 10%-15%.

think about it.
the economy is in a rut.

now would not be the time to buy a guitar or amp. just stop complaining. these forums are not for telling fender how to run their business, they're for talking about other things.

Excellent - that's the spirit!

Can't wait...!

Cheers - C

I haven't forgotten, Ceri, but it's a little more difficult than I thought. I need to practice the Mando part a bit more.

Hi FirstMeasure: hey, no sweat. It was only meant in the most friendly light-hearted vein. No intention to put any pressure on - do it if you feel like it and not if you don't. We're only here to have fun.

...Though an excuse to brush up on an instrument is never a bad thing, is it?

Cheers man - C

Of course it's all in fun, but I do want to go back on my word, no matter how silly it is. And Yeah, it's a nice diversion. I've been playing so much electric and learning covers latley that I let my Mandolin skill slack.

Thers' a bit of pride swallowing involved, I thought Row Row Row your boat was easy, but trying to lay that second harmony track is proving to be a problem. I'm doing an acoustic guitar first, no problem I've been making people laugh with that for a long time. Transposing it to Mando and then recording that counterpoint just comfusses my fingers. But I'll bring that pesky Mountain to Mohammad.

Boo is like the crown jewels... she doesnt appear in public.

She's far too busy with 'in the night garden', my various monster faces and beep beep beep on the nose for that.

Here you go, Row Row Row Rour Boat. I used my Red and White Polka Dot Buddy Guy Strat, Fender GDS 500 SE Acoustic, and Epiphone MM-30E Mandolin.

I got a Deluxe American Strat Blemished for $867 when Music123 had a 1 day sale last week. The strat was in perfect condition, 2008 neck. The case had some very minor damage and the inspection card was missing. Full warranty.

What was a great deal now seems like an unbelievable deal.

(Bump - how did I miss this post?)

Howzabout that? Here's a guy who promises - and delivers! Total kudos to you, FirstMeasure!!

And respect to your cat too, for backup vocals. My moggies just leave the room when I start playing...

Thumbs up to you, man - C
