They have a section there called "The Gibson Lounge" its "dead threads" date back to January 28th of January of this year. Brad its a obvious rip on this great forum. Just throwing that out there.

We have a good forum here. It doesn't matter what anyone else does.
So let's just concern ourselves with what we do well.........

I just discovered a website called "Google" that is clearly a rip-off of the search function of Fender.com.

Brad, you've got to do something about this! :D :D

Brad should just delete all the threads concerning this little "war" and we get on with talking about what we do best.

It's pretty much a given that the participants on Brand X's site are going to think that Brand X's forum is better than Brand Y's. Totally not a big deal nor anything over which to stir up one's feathers.

Besides, a company that gives Kiefer Sutherland a signature guitar pretty much knocks themselves...
http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM07 ... S-336.html

Because we all know how inspiring, influential, and innovative Kiefer Sutherland has been to all guitarists around the world...much more of an influence to guitar players than Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, and Randy Rhoads combined.

Yeah, they really ripped "us" off. There were never any web-based forums before Fender.com, and nobody ever called it a "lounge". We don't really believe that, do we?

I was in online forums in 1990 on Prodigy, and there were a ton of "lounges". Who cares anyway?

Prodigy? I remember that, Compuserve, NEC, and Amigas...d*mmit I am old-ish  I was just thinking yesterday about how you don't see the word SYSOP too much any more...

I don't see why any one would be too concerned starting a conflict between either forum. They're both forums for musicians and guitarists, after all. No need to start a preference war, now is there?

Maybe next season of 24 can be Kiefer uncovering and stopping rogue Fender forum baddies from hacking into and destroying the gibson forums. Because, you know, musicians are so violent.
