It's highly likely that no-one did. Don't be drawn into something.
Rise above this.

Look at the date they joined. Has to be a 10 year old that skipped school and just got bored.

I love Gibsons and Fenders. I guess that makes me Switzerland. No fighting for me, then. Good luck fighting, boys. Let me know if I can sell you a handmade watch or some cheese ... you know, for the war effort.

In a word, "no." Most folks come here as a chance to talk about music and gear and get *away* from stresses and interpersonal confrontations of life so we have no interest in endorsing or furthering something of this nature, no.

There really should be a intellegence test before approval to the forums is granted.

Strange it always seems to be Gibson. Are Gibson and Fender the only guys out there? Last time I looked there were others making top quality guitars as well people like G&L, PRS, Schecter, Suhr. Oddly most Gibson dont even compete with Fender because they are totaly different guitars and sounds while some of the other guitars are very much like Strats and Tele's but people never wont to compare them. You no, a Strat to a Suhr Classic or a Tele to a Suhr Classic T. A Strat to a Ibenez JS1200! My point these are all fine guitars so beware of what you say are better.

Fender Vs. Gibson is for guitarists what Ford Vs Chevy is for motorheads and gearheads...yes, there are other guitar and car companies, but for some reason, it always comes down to 2 of the better, or more well-known, household name, or familiarity, brands...Like I said in another thread, people just like to get into p!ssing matches, then people also just get too caught up in,"I use/own it, and think its great, and everyone else needs to think/be exactly like me."-BS/mentality.

This is exactly the kind of thread that buries Songwriting threads and why we need a songwriting forum.

That being said, the instigator of this "Cold War" between the major guitar manufactories was probably a Bored and Disgruntled Teen.
