A friend just called me to tell me, The Boss won't be performing any dates on his forth coming tour  I'm bummed out, I had planned on seeing him. I just found a recent interview with him on BBC radio2, it's worth a listen to any budding song writters here.

Good Lord, why not? Have we offended in some way?

We're used to the rest of the world punishing us for supporting American in Iraq. But when Americans start punishing us for it too - well really!

Not so sure though, Snowy: the dates I'm seeing look like half a tour so far. I wonder if there's further dates to be announced. That gentleman used to more or less own the stage at Wembley Stadium, after all...

Cheers - C

My thoughts exactly C, anytime he plays here its a sell out, as soon as the tickets go on sale. It really is a strange one, I hope you're right, and they add more dates. I'll be watching out, if you hear different, please post here.

I'm not a big fan but like some of his earlier stuff. Seems to all sound the same after a while. JMO!

Come to think of it, when I said Springsteen used to own the stage at Wembley - that was actually true!

He didn't play the original Live Aid show due to a prior engagement - but the stage upon which it all took place was his! Geldof blagged him into loaning his touring stage for the gig (I think he'd been playing Wembley around that time, so it was in the neighborhood)...

And if that ain't a trivial morsel of knowledge even by the standards of rock and roll trivia, I'd like to know what is!

Cheers - C

Strange thing, Hop. On that very sort of point, my friends tend to say:

"Ceri, you amaze us with the shallowness of your knowledge..."

+1 to that -- The first half of his career was pretty amazing and had more energy to it. Since then, things keep slowing down even more (not a horrible thing, though) and he's getting a little too righteous for my tastes.

i saw sprinsteen twice in 86 on the tunnel of love tour. I saw him at villa park and Sheffield. Wembley was 2 days after Sheffield i think (not sure). I like the boss, although he is a bit of a bellyaching leftie. I'd certainly like to see him again and will be most displeased should he not play the uk. I was under the impression that he's playing smaller gigs now. If thats true he may not come to the uk, he'd have to play 5 nights in every city.

God don't complain! Atleast you live in a state or area that has concerts visit them often its been forever since a good act has come to Charleston,West Virginia (although Derek Trucks is coming next month) Its been years since a BIG concert happened here.

EDIT: sorry I just get pissed whenever someone brings up this kind of subject.
