Well, I wasn't going to buy this until April when I get my annual bonus, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Check out my brand new 2008 Jazzmaster Classic Player Special:

Hey Russian Race Horse... that's a very purty guiter you got! I see you are running on a mac... are you using Garageband?

I myself beat the date by ordering my Super Champ XD last night! Unfortunately it is on backorder and won't be shipped until Feb. 2. I can't wait....

Excellent choice russianracehorse. The price increase rumors were just starting to heat up when I took the Classic Player Jazzmaster Special plunge in early December. I justified mine by telling myself that I was doing my part to help the economy and to boost the holiday shopping numbers.

I figured I was going to have trouble finding a decent hardshell case for the Jazzer because of its unique shape but doggone if the generic Kaces case I brought with my trade in didn't fit it perfectly.

I've fiddled with it a little, but not much. Do you use it? If so, any pointers?

It's a whole 'nother animal from a Strat or a Tele. Not to slam my Strat, which I adore, but they really perfected the body contours with the Jazzy. The pickup configurations take some getting used to, but it can't be beat for that twangy surf sound! 8)

Hey, John, thanks for the tip on the case. I was worried about that myself.

By the way, nice guitar! 8)
