Hey!

I'm not a metal/death head or anything but I quite like some of these "Viking Death Metal"

Guitar Wise...

The vocals are ok but they scream so... :3

I'm not big metal fan myself. Everything past around '79 sounds so contrived to me. Yeah, you're angry. We get it. So right a song about it, don't just scream and play a 20 minute long harmonic minor solo.

My problem is the singing.

Why was it that we went from real singers to those that just impersonate Sesame Street's cookie monster? Explain that one to me...

yeah it just seems like all that started as an attempt to be groundbreaking, and now it's getting cliched if ya know what i mean.

The deathmetal grunt vocal came from napalm death, extreme noise terror and doom didnt it. Police b?????? and extinction of mankind also use it alot. Its beginnings are from the crusty punk stuff of the mid 80's.

Opeth Breaks the mold. But for the most part, Death Metal is too Cookie Cutter. Cookie Monster, Cookie Cutter.......hmmm..... Perhaps we should change the genre's Title to "Cookie Metal".

Yeah, Beaker Techno

I remember Napalm Death, and Bolt Thrower. It was kind of cool when they were doing it cause it was like Anti-Glam to the extreme, now that it's a style it's seems diluted.
