This probably sounds like a newbie question, but did Fender make any other electric guitars besides the Tele and the Strat in the Pre-CBS era? I wasn't around then so I don't know.

don't forget the P-bass, and the Fender Rhodes Piano, called the Rhodes PianoBass at launch. I know not specifically electric guitars, but without them fender probably wouldn't have been around to make the tele and Strat.

Strictly speaking, I believe CBS bought the Rhodes Co., not Fender. Also, Rhodes is back as an independent company again.
