I may be overlooking the obvious here, but why is there not a classified ad section for this forum?

Buying and selling in the forums is against company rules.

Theres a few reasons i suspect.

1 far to hard to supervise and police
2 Fender want no responsibility for bad instruments 'fakes/busted' being sold on their website.
3 fender want to sell new guitars and amps, not old ones.

It's understandable that Fender would have no desire in getting involved with that. The forums are here simply to support their community of users around the world, plus there are plenty of other places to post classifieds ...

I guess that all makes sense. Still seems a bit odd to me though. Perhaps I should edit my post in the "pics of your guitar" thread that mentions a rickenbacker bass I have for sale?

Honestly, I'm not aggressively trying to sell it. If it goes great! if it doesnt, thats fine too. just figured I would mention it while I was posting pics. My concern is the post being reported if its really that big of a No No.

Allthumbs.

Fender dont want you selling stuff but i believe Brad will overlook a minor oversight from a new user, he's quite a reasonable bloke.
