Are you saying Jeff Beck's Strat has no punch ?
Anyway there is much more to ' punch ' than the brand of guitar, it's more of a music thing.
I have both and they both deliver when required.

I'm sorry but you can't get much better than Jimi Hendrix, and his guitar of choice was a Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Now, I don't know what you're smoking, but guitar hero has nothing to do with actual instruments. By the way, the Official Fender Forums are kinda of a bad place to throw out you're opinion of how bad a Fender is. Good day to you sir!

The contest is over, there is no point for you to keep posting useless things.

Yes, I have said for a long time that I could fit more Hawaiian Puch juice boxes into my Gibson's case than my Fender. Finally, an ally...

I'd say that nothing has punch like a singlecoil pickup in the bridge possition. The mid range punch on em is what causes the quack. Les pauls have more depth or bass response than a strat for sure but they mellow with it.

Perhaps the OP just got smacked around the head by two guitar wielding psychotherapists who he has driven to despair with his innane pratlings. One hit him with a strat the other a LP. The extra weight in the swing of the LP must of led him to believe it has 'more punch'.

Whatevers up with him, we cant do anything to him he hasnt already done to himself.

You may have hit on it! Now that I think about it, my Gibson cases are square while my Fender cases are more "form fitting." Punch boxes tend to be rectangular and it only makes sense that rectangular objects will fit with less waste space in a rectangular case than in an irregular shape.

You may have even come up with a final answer for one aspect of the "Fender vs. Gibson" question. While transporting rectangular juice or punch containers, Gibson has the clear advangage. Yep, the facts speak for themselves.

And hey ... I finally got some use out of the Geometry I had to take 40 or so years ago. Yessir ... better late than never ... it's paid off at last
