You can socialize and be friendly and build a fan base without flirting. If you want to flirt - go ahead - but don't expect it to be free. You're going to pay the price with your girlfriend. That's the way it is.

Oh they understand, we'd all be better off if they didn't

They love flirting unless you do it.

I am a wife of a musician. I agree on the "Appearing single" But it is not us wives that make the mistake. It is the "appearing to be single" Musician, that is not just "appearing" to be...if that makes sense. My husband does not wear a ring...talks to all fans, women or men....Hugs and kisses the venue owners ( if female commonly) and appears single..to a point.

The difference would be, the understanding between husband and wife, how presentation is going to be shown and how advances were to be handled. The Musician remembering in his own heart he is not single, is one very important ingredient. But a woman's knowledge of the Discovery channel...knowing that males have a tendency that is a fact and normal in life

:):)

Just some input :)

I meant (only somewhat jokingly,) is he's in trouble because women tend to understand what flirting is all about better than men. She probably wouldn't be concerned if there wasn't a (potential at least,) problem.

The trick is to appear interested/available without actually flirting.
