If the forums are going to be a desolate wasteland in the world of the internet come monday afternoon. :D

I sincerely hope not. The busy forums and 24 hour posting have been a delight.

I hope that all of the "contest" posters have seen what a cool place this is.
If there have been any negatives... I haven't seen it.

It's amazing the bump in volume of activity over this weekend. I suspect most will fade away, but some will stay on, I hope. If you're listening out there, you newbies, stick around, its a great forum.

This place is nice and clean, from what I have seen so far, other forums are not as nice as this. I think closing down at the end of day helps keep the riff raff out, and keeps some from running rough shod through the forum when no ones looking. I feel hand cuffed when ever I go to post, only to find it closed.

I screwed up a post the other night. I had a couple quotes in it, and messed up, and had one quote interwoven with the bulk of my post somehow.

I went to edit it, and got the closed forum message.

So I got up before work, and fixed it, hoping not too many people would read it.

yea i always wondered why they locked up at the end of the day but now i see that it keeps it under controll and it kinda makes people get on at the same time so that theres people to talk to but like you guys said... it needs more people haha

I think its mostly to make it easier for Brad to deal with it. he doesn't have to wake up to 8 hours of anarchy every morning. Some other forums I have been to have huge issues late at night with spam bots and other bad things.

My thoughts entirely mr Fingers. And yeah i also see the nightly shutdown as a good thing. I opposed the weekend closedown for the same reason way back when. Fortunately i was proved wrong. These forums for the best part tend to be self governing, we've suffered stealth spamming and minor trolling a little in the past but like brad says 'its what the report button is for'.

Night night all its 3am here, good luck with the competition.

I think that the Fender Forums will always be a work in progress. I like the way it evolved up until now, and I am pleased to see that it is in the hands of people with vision, wisdom and cool ideas for the future. I am honored to be a part of such a friendly family. I think that people living in other time zones may experience some frustrations (I would) because they are not synchronized with the Fender daytime. So please, if someone from Fender could fix the 24/7 dilemma, everyone would be very happy. I realize that there must be some kind of an agenda but it could incorporate such a modification in the near future. 8)

Maybe if Fenders net division took on someone from way out east (not newyork state) to help with 'report button' incidents they could get all timezones covered. The only problems would be finding someone fluent in english and the logistics of pay for the extra workload. I'm sure fmic could source someone from their many international sub-divisions to fulfill the task. Whether they would be willing though is a different matter. Ive always been under the impression that this forum are as much a labour of love as they are a part of someones job.

I'm in a different timezone, but I don't mind too much. But maybe that's because I'm GMT+1...
I think, because of the fact that the majority on these fora are Americanos, it would take too much effort in relation to the results.
there are some uk-people, some Canadians, I think I also saw a German, someone from Macedonia, and for as far as I've seen, I'm the only Dutchman.
