Getting a autograph from the bloke who designed the best selling and my personal favourite guitar ever, must surely be a Tshirt contest winner.

Concise summary! I was wondering if Jerm knew who George was!

haha, gotta disappoint you all! I don't (or didn't) know who George is, but I understand that I should, and that he built'n'designed some kickass guitars (that I can't afford).
So many good musicians, so little time...

He is one of the founding fathers of Fender (as well as the Fender Stratocaster, as nikininja noted above) and without his myriad contributions the company would simply not be what it is today. Quite frankly, I didn't ask a single one of our artists or celebrities for an autograph or "grip and grin" photo this weekend but I did ask George for both, so I guess that goes to show you my respect for the man.

Two comments about the chops in this thread, how 'bout that! :-) Thanks -- the wife suggested I try them 3 or 4 months ago and now that I have 'em, I'll never go back!

Brad, I think I missed the post about the extended forum hours.

Is it permanent or just for the NAMM run?

Hi everybody ,what a great time .The Fender staff did a outstanding job .They really worked hard ,and brought in a variety of artist and some really kicken guitars .It was a suprise to see the blog ,the whole time I was talking to Brad until I met Mr Fullerton, completely unaware of the camara.I have to decline any contest entry because I was just happy to be a part of the whole NAMM thing
