Been playing in bands since High School, 1965.
New Orleans rhythm and Blues, all the local stuff.
Best sounding amp I ever owned was a pre-CBS Blackface Deluxe.
I actually bought that after seeing it for sale in the window of a Texaco service station. $200 for the amp and a cheap guitar with a microphonic pickup around 1980 or so. Station owner said he was original owner but
could never play, "worth a dang". Just been collecting dust since then.
SWEET!!!

Yep, that's what the name's about!!! Got called into work at Charity Hospital for hurricane duty like always, as Locksmith Master I ran the key shop and had "all the keys to the kingdom", as it were. Wife stayed at home since she couldn't bring the dogs. You know the story, but for those who don't...14 feet of water in my house for 3 weeks, then another 5 feet for Hurricane Rita...flooded again!!! Along with everything else I owned, musically speaking I lost:
Peavey "Reknown" amp
Line 6 "Spider II amp
Honer "Revelation" guitar
Epiphone "Flame Kat" guitar
Fender "Players Strat" the blue one and my #1
Dunlop original "Crybaby"
Korg "G3" effects unit
Shure "SM58" & "SM45?"
Mike stands, guitar stands, wires, cables, wall warts, tuners and all the other stuff needed to Rock & Roll.
'Course EVERYBODY else was in the same boat...
The guy I played with (14 years), who was born and raised around here took his whole family and moved to Kentucky. And...you know the story,
the same old songs we and EVERYBODY else plays/played around here...well, he's now unique and knocking 'em dead...good for him!!!
Sounds like you might be doing the same thing...I mean Memphis ain't
New Orleans, same as Owensbourough(spell check says that's wrong and
I believe it is)
Good hearing from you and sorry for the long reply, but I'm using such things sorta for therapy!!!
