Can Anyone Help Me With This? I've been playin' guitar for a while... and can't figure out for the life of me how to drop C. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Drop C Tuning
I have always wanted to know how to do that too. I hope someone can give an answer. It may be something you have to be shown how to do.

Think of it this way, its the same as drop D. All the strings are in standard tuning except for the low E which is tuned down a whole step. Next is C# where the strings are down half a step and the low E is down a step and a half. Then there's C tuning, all the strings are down a whole step and the low E is tuned two whole steps down.

Hope that helps. :)

You might want to consider getting yourself a tuner. For $15 Korg makes a tuner that will let you step down. I have one guitar down a half step and with the Korg it was easy to do.

I have a couple different tuners but I don't like using them, I like to tune my guitars by ear... Although I should start.

Abusive language can get you booted off the forum. The :P indicates a joke. Lighten up, Francis.
