What's the difference between putting your strings thru-body or topload?

More Vibration & tone affected by the Wood itself, My Tele FMT is also 1 peice with the neck & Body moulded 2gether.
Tighter Tone & Thicker Sustain!
Plus the top loading setup seems to suffer more buzz issues.

Are you referring to the difference between the tunomatic style bridge (common on Gibsons) and the typical fender tremolo bridge style? Basically, stop hardtail bridges don't need to string through the body so they usually have a block mounted on the face of the instrument and this is where you load your strings. The Fender style tremolo bridge loads from the back of the guitar, because the strings need to be attached to the moving tremolo block.

Some of my guitars are stop hardtail, and others have Fender style tremolos. It may be that one style might have an advantage for resonance and sustain, but I've heard great sounding guitars with plenty of sustain using either type of bridge. I can say that the back plate with the small opening for string changes can get in the way sometimes. Especially if you block off the tremolo (which I did with my strat). So then you can either just leave the back plate off (which most stage players do), or what I did was to put it on a router and widen the opening for string changes a bit more.

Some say there are pros and cons to both, but honestly, I cannot really tell much of a difference between my string thru guitars and my top loading ones. The differences are very subtle and minor to me, like putting low or high octane in your car, and not as dramatic as some make it out to be, like the difference between an automatic and manual transmission...At least these are my experiences and opinions on this subject...
