Good day. I'm new to forum, and I wanted folks to know about my Christmas presents.

I got a new Bass and an Amp. I got a 2008 SX PB-J bass, it has a 32" scale - a good starting instrument. I also got an Ibanez SWX20 20w Bass Amp which can shake my house

I have named my new bass - she's called Pa-puru Doragon, which is Japanese for Purple Dragon :D

I'm currently saving up for a Fender B-DEC 30 which will help me in learning and practicing my bass playing. So far I'm practicing about 1/2 hour to an 1 hour every other day - mostly because my fingers can't tolerate any more.

Maybe I'll get lucky and win the P-Bass - that would be totally cool :P

Welcome to the forum. The longer you play, the tips of your fingers will harden over and it all gets easier, stay with it.
All the best :D

Cool! The world needs more bass players, especially women bass players. (I tried once, thought it would be easy. I was wrong.)
Good luck in the contest. I'd like the amp, myself.

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice.

I know my fingers will get stronger, they are already getting calluses.

I wish everyone good luck in the contest -- but I want to win the bass :D

I love calluses its so awesome i mean think about how much it would hurt if it didnt exsit i mean no one would be touring and playing as long as guys like Clapton.

Wow, you're really lucky to have parents like that! Giljanus is your dad right?
musical girls are soooo awesome. In my book, a girl can be pretty as hell, maybe even real smart, but if she's not into music, she's definitly not my type!

like everyone said, keep on rocking!

Welcome.

Flatwound strings on the bass tend to be less abusive than rounds until you get sincere callouses.
