I'm in two bands, but one is on hiatus while we look for a new singer/guitarist. The punk band is rolling along, though. Kinda wish it was the other way around, but a gig's a gig, as they say.

We got a gig coming up next Saturday, we're going to try and shoot a little video so we can enter the Road Worn contest. It should be...well, something.

I play for my own enjoyment, played a few songs with a friend at his weekly paying gig once and that was just amazingly fun. 8) If I had more time to practice and learn more songs I'd love to play out regular if possible.

I'm Lucky enough to play in a Band with my Girlfriend on Vocals and My Brother on the Bass, plus our Drummer is great and not even a little Egotistical.

I also voted for Solo, 'cause I'm all ready to play a solo gig, but I don't have any lined up right now.

Got a power trio going right now. My guitarist thinks we should bring in another guitarist, but my drummer and I don't think so. I personally want to find a keyboardist.
I also jam with a few other friends.
And I like to play with myself. :D

I checked all of them. Is that allowed? I don't do open mics but I do everything else on the list.

There are two full bands I sit in with occasionally, One is a 4-Piece the other a 5-Piece. My wife, who is a bassist, and I will pick up a drummer friend and play as a 3-Piece from time to time. Sometimes, my wife and I will do the duo thing with her on acoustic bass and me on acoustic guitar. Other times my brother and I will do the duo thing with him on guitar and I'll switch on guitar and bass. Then there's the "just get together to hang out and do some pickin' thing".

I'm not really tied to any one type of situation, but I play in a number of different situations. Although, I don't do the solo performance very often.

Right now I'm playing with myself

I have played in several bands, done the tour and tour and lose money thing.
Then I went to school, and started owing money. Now working way too much. I seem to have let my chops go. Currently working on getting my playing back in shape. then I would love to get a project going. I don't think I would ever go at it as hard as i did younger, This wouldn't be my job, but a fun project, just for the joy of it.

I never liked the stage. Was never comfortable playing in front of large crowds (not that it happened very often). I play alone and record in my home studio. One day I realized two of my most favorite bands, The Beatles and Steely Dan, gave up the stage to perfect their craft in the studio. I prefer the studio, too.

I play in a 5 piece cover band but the places we usually play have cut back on booking bands I guess with this crappy economy. We haven't even gotten together for practice in months.

I also have some buddies that I jam with, but it's been way too long since we've gotten together. I'm seriously jonsin for a jam :(

I've never seen Fagen solo, but I've seen The Dan a few times. The last time was a few years ago in Hartford, CT. His stage piano kept dying on him and they had to stop the concert and replace it about every three songs. It must have driven a perfectionist like him absolutely nuts.

I used to play in bands, many moons ago 8) Nowdays, I play along with backing tracks, or plug my iPod in to an amp and play along/improvise. Not quite as much fun as playing live on stage, but enjoyable nevertheless.

I play in a band, which is why I picked up my Tele. I got started playing/songwriting for my own pleasure on a Fender Telecoustic, went electric with a hand-me-down Squier Strat, and finally went full-Fender when I got a band together and started playing out a few years ago.
