I have 2 Fender Jazz Basses [A January '71 tobacco sunburst that is totally original and a 1988 with active EMGs in it] but the last time I owned a Fender guitar was in the early 60's. I had only played acoustics up until then and couldn't get used to the feel of it. I sold it fairly quickly. I wanted and much later got an ES335. Hmmmmm, I certainly wish I still had that Strat now!!! All that's left are a few pictures of me playing it at a gig somewhere.

If an Amarican pilot can savely land an airplane on the Hudson, I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to fly one of those Fender prices to Belgium!!! 8)

It would have been cool to be there in person, but I'll settle for one of the cool prizes! Good Luck to all who entered.

I'd be happy with either a new bass or new amp.

Here's post 2 of 3 for Fender gear. Santa Claus was great to my son, but mom and dad told Santa to "defer" to (hopefully) next year...this would make all very OK for dear old dad. Did I hear someone say that recessions suck? Anything Fender would be a phenomenal way to start 2009! Good luck to everybody...I'm sure there are lots of us that need some "optimism traction".

I already have a 87 MIJ squier , a 86 Contemporary Strat 27-4400 and a 81 F-65 acoustic dreadnought so an American Standard would be the perfect axe to complete the collection.
I know, so greedy but you gotta try haven't you?:)
