i've pretty much resigned myself to never winning a car or the powerball but a guitar would be pretty darn cool.

so, "hello"...

Hey Brad...

I'm here trying. :P

A Fender bass is the be-all, although I don't have one right now.

Did Fender ever take a Strat and shorten the neck to Jag length and maybe a little wider? Just curious. I know I always loved Fender sound, but not the neck of most. I played country with a guy in the 70s who used the jazzmaster kinda like Roy Buchanan played with the volume control - and really got a nice "steel guitar" sound. But I was always intimidated by the neck since my hands still think "classical guitar neck."

But then, as I've said before, I'm probably really playing piano, just using a guitar. That's also why the Guild S100 sits in its case, too...

Fender - Welcome to 2009 and thanks for the Chance at three great prizes! The new American standards are great! The ones I've played locally all play very smooth with great action, tone (of course), and sustain!

Gotta love your Strat!!

Thanks Again!

I'm finally getting caught up on this whole '2009 Kickoff' thing. Wow! I can see now why we haven't seen as much of Brad on the Forums lately, he's been a very busy boy! Very clever idea requiring participation in the Forums to be eligible, rather than just the 'Register to Win' format. A good way to inject some new life into the Forums and boost our numbers. And it seems to be working, judging from all the new posters. To you new members, stick with us beyond this contest, these forums are a great source of information and a lot of fun.

Now, I just have to hope I don't space out over the weekend and forget to post on Saturday and Sunday.

I have always enjoyed Fender products. Currently have 2 strats and a J-bass. I miss my '67 tele  My first amp was a '71 Super Reverb that had great tone. Recently I play a lot of keyboards, but still break out the guitars and bass from time to time. Good luck to everyone in the contest :)
