Since Fender has been helping these folks out a bit, and since I have 4 very sweet Fender products, amongst other things, thought I'd tell you folks about my day.

I'm kinda stoked. Just bought a brand new, old stock, '06 Gretsch G6196 Country Club.

Here's a bit of the details.

THIS IS A NEW 2006 G6196CG COUNTRY CLUB
**** CADILLAC GREEN FINISH ****
NEVER DISPLAYED, NEVER USED,NO ISSUES
JUST FOUND IN THE WAREHOUSE !!!!!!!!!!
ALL PAPER WORK
FULL GRETSCH® WARRANTY
MADE IN JAPAN GRETSCH® HARDSHELL CASE
PRO SET UP FREE SHIPPING IN CONTINENTAL U.S.

Bought it from Street Sounds, Brooklyn, NY.They describe themselves as the largest authorized Gretsch Dealer in the United States.

Just like this, but for < 2/3 the $.

It's heeeere....

But like I expected, it's ice cold. 14 F outside. Pretty much the temp of the guitar. I opened the case on the front porch just to make sure it's what I'd ordered and in one piece.

Have to head to work after a bit, but when I get home, about 10 hours from now, it will have slowely warmed to room temp through it's case. Then I can...wake the neighbors.
