Does anyone here like to use Backing Tracks to solo over?
I think they are really useful for getting out of a learning rut.
I seem to learn alot when I play along. If anyone is interested, here is a link you can try www.guitarbt.com These are free, and I just download the mp3's to cpu and then burn em to cd. You can donate to that site if you want. They have a great blues selection. enjoy! :)

I like to make my own. It's really not hard to do either. Even if you just have audacity (free download) and a microphone, you can make some pretty cool ones.

I make my own too, but Garage Band is really lacking in the blues category. Thanks for sharing the site! :D

Well they are good if you're starting to learn how to play a guitar, but as you learn more and more they become boring and you want somthing else, somthing diffrerent. - David Blues Neskoski - The Blues President 8)

I use backing tracks now, to create most of my music. I work in Garageband... though it is limited in some areas of style (such as blues, as mentioned earlier in the thread). I mainly use the piano, bass and drum loops and break them apart to create new loops. Then I perform all the guitar work over top.
