Just received an email form Music123 and it stated that a black or white Wolfgang will run $3000!!!. The quilt top version is $3150. That is outrageous. Give me the old Peavey version any day. I just wish Eddie would go back to making music.

yeah, I enjoyed the interview in Guitar Word and was really disappointed to find out how much the new EVH is, the worse thing is that he was bragging about how anyone can go and pick one off the rack and play the same exact guitar he is using, said something like you can "play and feel what was in my head", whatever! come on Ed! (and Fender) $3000 is too much!!
I'm surprised they are not trying to get $5150 for the damn things!

After reading Guitar World's other interview(with his son) I was disgusted with the amount of arrogance. So, now if I see his face on the cover(which is ofen these days) I don't bother. I also get sick of the Learn to play like..............BB or EVH or Eric or Hendricks! Come on, If we could play just like them, we would'nt have day jobs!! Sorry, but even if I had the money, I would'nt buy.....sorry, just venting

now that is a serious price gouge, i dont think they will sell very good. the wolfgangs were a hit because they were affordable & toneful.

Very surprised to hear this retail price, wonder what stores will let them go for. Still a far cry from the $1,200 - 1,500 for a new Peavey one.

I agree that Ed has gotten greedy. If you look at all the EVH products they are more expensive than other similar items. Ed's obviously trying to make a big buck off his name. Nothing wrong with that in a free market but I will not pay that kind of money. Give me an American made Strat. any day.

i agree strat-brat, i'm very satisfied w/ the american series strats & teles.

I do own a Peavey Wolfgang, and it's great. But, I think 3k for a similar styled axe is insane, you could get a custom Music Man for that.

I have yet to play one of the fender ones but I'm sure the neck can't be much better than the peavey one, that thing glides. It's perfect for picking & legato notes.

I am certain with that price, this EVH Fender axe might fall on its face , especially in this terrible economy.

I think this is a very bad market strategy or whatever Fender and EVH want it to call it.
I am still surprised, $3K its too much. I also bet there wont be to many sales of this guitar.

I invite you all EVH fans and guitar players interested on this matter not to buy this guitar until they lower the prices and/or until they are willing to give a fare price. Keep in mind the customers always dictate and/or have the last call, and Eddy and Fender will have to re think about it.
It’s a shame how Eddy has becoming more greedy over the time, I remember his band use to make a very good music. I wish they all go back and start all over.

I just dont understand the Signature guitar thing sometimes. Just because you name a guitar after someone it dont make you play like them or even get the same sound unless you have all the other equipment the same. And come on EVH just one of dozens of Signature guitars around. I would buy a Custom Shop Stratocaster Pro before I would spend my money on this one.
