I have to admit....I would LOVE to be a "Gibson Snob". I just can't afford to be one. If I could, I would have a LP Custom 3 pickup, a Sunburst Standard, an SG with sideways vibrola, a Firebird, and a double neck like Jimmy Page and Alex Lifeson played. I JUST CANT AFFORD THEM!!!
I have owned guitars from Fender, BC Rich, Epiphone, Squire, Ibanez, Dean, Aria, Kramer and Gibson. I don't feel as tho I am tied to any brand. I play what I like and can afford. The AFFORD part is a big limiting factor. (along with the wife!!!!!)

YAY for useless information

Iommi played with Tull ?
I didn't know that.
Wow!! this is turning into some night.

Drive down to your local video store (or surf the internet) and find a copy of "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus" movie and you'll see Tony performing with Tull and playing a white Stratocaster.

Late 1960's for like a year.

Like I say, I don't know if that is true and I don't know why he would do that anyway. So that's a bit of useless information for y'all. If I can think of anything else I don't know about, I'll let you know.Cheers 8)

Ha-ha-ha! That tickles me a lot!

Rhumba, if you feel like starting a "things we don't know about" thread I also will have a lot to mention on it!

Ah, the Rock and Roll Circus. I'm not usually too interested in ideas of "people blowing other people off the stage", but if anyone's keen to see it done for real take a look at what The Who do to the Stones in that film.

Sort of explains why the Stones, who I believe owned the production company behind the show, suppressed the footage for years, till The Who's section appeared in The Kids Are Alright movie.

I haven't seen a full cut of the show: I wonder how much of The Who Mick Jagger eventually allowed to get into the final cut?

Cheers - C

PS Thank you Rhumba, yes, I have sobered up by now. [hic... hic...]
