My son and I made our bi-monthly journey to Capitol Guitars in St. Paul MN. When we walked in the young man eyeballed a MIM sunburst Strat and immediately picked it up and plugged in.

That's My Boy!!!!!

Great !
Found it just in time too.

Several Guitar shops have all told us lately that the prices on all Fender gear is going up about 15% shortly for 2009.

That could always be a marketing gimmick to make people hurry and buy things. But then, if several guitar stores told you it's much more likely to really happen. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Unfortunately I am hearing the same price increase news from my photo equipment suppliers.
I am starting to think the start of 2009 may be time for the Blues.

I've been expecting Fender prices to go up for about a year - Gibson, and every other manufacturer I'm aware of, have gone up, but Fender has stayed the same.

Actually, Hofner, the products I watch, anyway, prices have gone down - is Germany recession-proof?
