I just bought a guitar magazine today. I got Guitar World. The one with Eddie Van Halen on the cover. What are other magazines that some people get?

Does anyone get this kind? I think it's Guitar One?

I pretty much gave up on magazines, there seems to be nothing but trash in them anymore. Most of the people in them, I'm just not interested in.

There is one that I'm loyal too, "Big City Rythm & Blues", it has kinda an underground feel to it, unfortunately I can't find them anymore at books-a-million.

I will occasionally buy a "Guitar Legends", only if it has somebody I'm interested in.

I believe Guitar One just went out of publication. I canceled my Guitar World subscription.

I still get a couple of Magazines, but I will probably be canceling them too after my subscription runs out.

I let mine expire and now pick up only the one's that have something I really want to keep.

If not I'll read thru them at the book store.

Do you have any idea when that GGD issue was? I might have it.

I have found that the guitar magazines today just have way too much advertising in them and not enough articles. Sure, the advertising helps to pay for the publication, but when you have 100s of advertisers and only 10 articles in one magazine... I'll read the info I need online.

OK, I don't have it. I only keep them for about 5 years.

Long ago I used to buy a spread of the above mags mostly for the product reviews, but now with Harmony Central and all the other online instant-info sources they all seem hopelessly so five minutes ago. And I save about $30 a month. Now I just occasionally flip through the pages in the store and quick-scan a particular product review they might have for free. I frankly don't miss the in-depth interviews of The Bass Turds and Coalingus.

No more mags for me. Too much useless information and most of it is rehashed over and over again.

I used to get Guitar Player when Tommy Tedesco wrote his article/column, but now I mainly just get Vintage Guitar Magazine.
