You'll hafta hone your slide skills, and tune to an open G. You'll find that the main riff is also a lot "Swampier" (and more accurate) in open G. Billy Gibbons is one of the most capable slide players around, so don't get discouraged when the simplest sounding licks are the hardest to nail.

I play it in standard tuning without a slide,so that's not neccessarily true.
I played it in standard tuning for years, too. Of course it can be done. But if you want to "Nail That Groove", open G with a Slide is the best way.

It's wicked easy to learn. I picked it up tn 10 minutes by going to www.ultimate-guitar.com. You could always go to www.youtube.com and see if there are any tips on how to play it also. Good Luck.

Just had a look at that ultimate-guitar site, it's very good, nice one, I'll use that myself, some cool stuff, thanks.

There is no Right way, it depends on the player. But I'll tell you what, the Audience reacts more when you pull out a slide.

I wasn't looking at Tush actually, I was just giving the site a look-see.
There is some great stuff on there, generally, for lots of songs.
I was checking out some Fleetwood Mac really.

guitarpro 5 is tab software thats well worth paying for. It plays the notes and highlights the corresponding tab as it plays them, so it sorts all the timing issues out.

Seems to me that the song format for "Tush" leaves great room for solo improvisation over the basic back beat.
