Hi!

i have noticed that most people recommend to have your thumb over the fretboard when bending... i've been playing for quite long and have always been bending with my thumb on the back of the neck...

Im now trying to change this habit, but is it really that important? what do you think? should i change my bending technique?

If it works well for you, it's probably not worth changing. For some it's easier to have that thumb there. Kind of makes it seem more like you are squeezing the guitar for the bend.

I say play the way that you feel comfortable. Everyone makes their own technics that dont work for everyone. Just keep doing what your doing. You will feel it if you need to make a change.
