I just signed up for it because I want a Fender guitar so badly (I only have Gibsons) but I would have to trade in one of my Gibsons to get a Fender and I don't want to do that so I signed up for the Jazzmaster contest... I've enver signed up for a contest before anywhere.. How hard is it to win? Have you ever won a contest on Fender.com or anywhere else? Thanks!!

Sorry if I was a little accusatory lol. I'm new to the forums so... I see what you mean though, hopefully I win anyway lol. Thanks man. Do they announce the winner's name and everything? HAs anyone ever come onto the forums bragging they won or anything like that?

If you win, you will be contacted. If you loose, you can find out who won, when the winner shows up on the forum, or when Fender puts up a posint or page on the Fender Web Site. Here is a quote from the offical rules of the contest:

Quote:
... WINNER: The Winner(s) will be selected via a random drawing held on January 27, 2009. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received. The Winner(s) will be notified by e-mail or by phone. Undeliverable prize notification or failure to respond to prize notification within 7 days will result in forfeiture of the prize. In the event of prize forfeiture by a Winner, an alternative Winner may be awarded the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to revise dates and procedures mentioned in these rules. The Winner's name will be posted on the www.fender.com web site.

RESERVATIONS: By submitting an online entry, each entrant agrees to create a Fender Profile and have his or her e-mail address put on Fender's E-Mail News mailing list. The Winner, by submitting an entry, grants permission to have his or her name, city, photograph and/or likeness used in any manner the Sponsor may deem appropriate for advertising, trade and/or promotional purposes without additional compensation, including without limitation, posting the Winner's name on the www.fender.com web site, unless prohibited by law. ...

1 in 200,000 is close to slim and none.

A Blizzard Pearl VG with a maple fretboard. You are so incredibly lucky. Congrats, again.

Like Gil I have found it very easy to win, in fact, 1:3 in my case.

In the competition where he won his VG Strat I won third prize of $300 to spend at the online store. Howzabout that for ya?

The competitions here are genuine - and much appreciated!

:D - C

PS Can't tell you EC's rig setting though - sorry...
