i don't know who pete wentz is, but look on the bright side... at least he plays an instrument and not just punching a computer keyboard.
i'll agree that fender has been overdoing it a little - coming out with a signature guitar about once a week lately... heck, at that rate, we'll all be in the line up pretty soon. i think i want mine to be a blue telecaster with a brass nut and saddle, and a white pick guard with a pencil signature on the front :)

You don't have your signature series yet? I got mine last week! It's a yellow strat with white stripes. My name is embedded in the fret board with mother of pearl.
It's sweet!

Ok. I'm sorry. I'll admit I went a little overboard. If offended you I do apologize. I'm sure the amp is probably a good one. Maybe even the bass. I doubt that Pete would be upset at my post while he's making gazillions of dollars and has pretty hot wife. He'll never be a good bass player but at least he has those things as I sit here and pound away on my keyboard.

I don't know who he is either, but I just looked at the bass and it is a very nice axe for the money.

I too think that the "artist models" have gone a bit too far and become waaaay to common.

But on the other side of the coin, I'm all for winning a cool bass and amp.

Artistic integrity be damned let's make money and get free stuff! :D

Maybe he's right about us getting our signature guitars though! Can mine have P-90s in it?

you know, i was never impressed all that much with steve miller. way too pop for my personal taste. a few (maybe more) years ago i went to his show at great woods... uhhh, tweeter center... whatever it is now... anyway, i'll have to say i was very impressed. only did a few bubble gum numbers to satisfy the teenieboppers, but the rest of the show was very tasteful, tight, and nicely done.
maybe mr wentz will mature the same way someday.

The dude figured out a way to get paid WELL for playing. There ain't nothing wrong with that. 8)

Be honest boys (and girls too if you read this), if you had the opportunity to get paid as well as Pete does, for playing exactly what he plays, you'd jump at the chance wouldn't you.

Cool Bass, I hope I win it. As far a Artist models go, I think they're cool. Most of them won't amount to anything, but the really good ones are worth the filler.

I'll be off to gibson for my signature series, their far less common than fender ones. :D (JK)

Seriously, it seems like the whole signature thing is getting too much. I can see the advertizing advantages but hardly anyone seems to know of this fella. Surely there are better known pop/rock figures to plaster over adverts. I can see brand loyalty being a factor but still their are other people. Even the Yngwie was a touch too extreme. Yes he's a good player if you like that sort of thing but how are his record sales lately. I thought he'd quit after rising force.

The carlsbro factory is just up the road from me, my mate designed their dsp amps. Come jan 2nd im off to see if i can blag some free amps and get my ugly mug over a load of posters. :D

Happy new year everyone, please lets have peace. If what i've said above offends, im sorry.

My daughters love Fall Out Boy and I don't really care for them. With that said it's like people that complain about something on TV-you don't have to listen or watch. Change the station or the radio if it's what you're listening to. I registered for the Pete Wentz bass/amp just so's my daughter can have a bass to learn on. Yeah the artist models should be few and far between. I'm surprised there isn't an EVH Frankenstein copy put out by Fender.
