My local Sam Ash was running a promotion this week, $100 off any item over $400. I went back with a 7 month old G Dec 30 that I didn`t care for and traded it in for a Blues Jr. My cost for the Blues Jr. came to $250. I think I did pretty good on the deal all around and feel much better with this new amp.

Thanks Bill, I wasn`t too happy with the G Dec, too much dialing in for me. I was using the new amp before and I don`t know if it was the amp, or the guitar itself but I had some fuzz in the sound. I was using a guitar with Texas Specials so I don`t know if that had anything to do with it but after playing around with the settings I got it cleaner. I had the pups on the middle and neck position but when I bring them back to the middle and bridge it gets a clean again. Is that normal ?....Thanks Joe

I found out what the distortion was from. A couple of tubes shifted, must have been during shipping. The amp sounds much better and you guys are right, it is a sweet amp.

The GDEC is a learning tool, the Blues Jr. is a studio & gigging tool.

I agree, the Blues Jr. is far superior to the G Dec .

JPD,
I have a Blues JR. as well. Did you get the tweed NOS? That is an awsome amp in a very portable package.

Congrats,
JBH
