The first albums that I bought were two albums by Elvis Presley - one titled Elvis Presley and the 2nd one Loving You - I bought both in 1957 - I was 12 at the time.

My first guitar was (and is still usable) a 1973 Léro Model 58 Dreadnought Acoustic - made in Korea that I purchased in 1973 in a music store in the East Village of NYC where I was living at the time.

First guitar--a plastic 6 string--not 4 string-that was actually tunable and came with a tuning record & song book--a lot of fun.
My first "real" guitar was a "K-Mart Special" type acoustic, which according to a book I later read (and forget the title of) was a waste of good plywood.
I no longer have either.

First album-Beatles-Yellow Submarine

First Guitar - Sears Strat type guitar with no amp - I think I wired it into my parents' record player somehow. My grandfather bought it for me. It was $36.00, as I remember. I broke the high e string and played it for a long time with 5 strings.

First album - Cream Wheels of Fire - my sisters bought it for me when I was about 12 or 13. I used to lie on my bed and hold the little plastic speakers right up against my ears and let 'er rip.

What was that you said? I can't hear you.

My first guitar I bought this year - a Starcaster by Fender.

First album - bought together - one by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and one by the Grass Roots. That would have been 1967 or 68...
