All,

Do you remember your first guitar - your first album?

Mine was a Sears Silvertone acoustic and Fleetwood Mac (self titled).

Pre-CBS Fender Duo-sonic: Borrowed from an uncle, then given back to him when I upgraded a few years into playing (he still has it, by the way)

Beatles -- Sgt Pepper: I was 9 years old and in a record store with my older brother. I had just seen the Beatles 'Yellow Submarine' on TV and went lokking for an album with 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds". Boy, did that album pry my head wide open...

My first guitar was a Yamaha SE 211. Which I slowly destroyed. :( and my first record was Quiet Riot "Metal Health" 8)
Edit. The Batman record reminds me that Quiet Riot was not actually my first record. It was this one. Late 70's. :D

My first guitar was a Silvertone Strat copy, in black with maple fretboard. Once it was properly set up, this turned out to be a hell of a guitar for something so cheap. I still play it regularly.

My first album, I'm sad to say, was "Dangerous" by Michael Jackson.

My first guitar is the Squier Standard Stratocaster I bought about a year ago.

My first album was The Batman Theme by the Marketts.

I was probably about four years old when I got it. I guess it's why I like surf music so much. 8)

First guitar -- a 1966 Fender Mustang

First album -- "Live Dead" Albums were normally beyond my financial means, but the local Woolworth's started selling LPs and the ones that didn't sell were tossed in the discount bin. Since my small, upstate NY city was pretty much locked on "Top 40 only," the discount bin became a treasure trove of West Coast groups, NYC progressive artists, etc.

First 45 single -- Bar-Kays "Soul Finger" (as a budding guitarist with no voice whatsoever, I was looking for primarily all-instrumental groups)

First music heard frequently: Big Band era at home and classical at school.

My first guitar was in 1962 a Rosseti acoustic and then in'63 I up-graded to an electric Rosseti Airstream 3, that had an almost impossible action but it did the job for a while.
My first album, wow!... I think it might have been one by The Shadows.

My first album was Pink Floyd's The Final Cut. I wanted The Wall; however, my mom could only find The Final Cut. I had to listen to it a couple times before I decided I liked it. Several years later my dad bought me a Strat-Clone. I do not remember the name (I do not think it had one.) It just had Stratocaster with Syncrinized Tremelo on the headstock (no Fender). We bought it along with a Peavy Bandit for $100 dollars. It served its purpose.

First bass was a kay rickenbacker copy i bought off a mate for 2 quid, it had 2 strings on it and at the time a set of bass strings were about 6 quid so i wouldnt buy any coz they cost 3 times what i paid for the guitar.
The first album i ever bought was Black sabbaths debut album and i still have it.
