Two things:

1. (Re)learn to read music reasonably well, concentrating on the bass. I want to be able to sit in with anyone as long as it doesn't require perfect read-it-and-play-it first shot ability by year's end.

2. Finally master the Tascam recorder I got a couple of years ago. People have been suggesting that I record my songs (for over 40 years, actually) so on a whim, I bought the Tascam as a discontinued, out of box, only one left at GC a while back. Now I have to master the "technology" of it. Let's just say there's a reason why my degrees are not in IT ... it will be a challenge but hey, finally time to bite the bullet and do it.

Happy almost-new-year, everybody.

My resolution is to meet some people to go to gigs with - always a challenge when you move to a new town.

And of course to practice every day!

My New Year's Resolutions:
1. Play more guitar, (play more with others.)
2. Thin the guitar & amp herd a little, give some to my son (Dad's hand- me-downs don't suck)
3. Pay off Debts.
4. Slow down & smell the roses, & hear the stratocasters!
5. Give more-do more to help others... example-Feed the hungry
(Local charity in Fort Myers Fl. "Nation's Association" helps the homeless) I did in past years - Feeds my Soul...

and lastly... proof read the Forum before posting a "New Topic" that is exactly like this one... proving to everyone that I am a TARD...
