Does anyone know what the abrieviations HSS and QMT stand for on the fender american deluxe strat

    I don't know what Hss stands for but I know that I has a bridge humbucker pickup and I've never even heard of qmt

    HSS refers to the pickup arrangement: Humbucker (bridge), Single-coil (middle), Single-coil (neck). This is also known as a "Fat Strat."

    SSS would be three single-coils.

    I was told my mia strat is a strat pluss deluxe built between 1984 & 88, beause it has sperizel locking tuners a steel roller nut & gold lace sencer pickups, my question is an easy answer, true or false

    It would have been built in '88 or late '87 at the earliest. They were known simply as "Strat Plus", and were the top of the line at the time.
