Cool! That was the first LP I ever bought with my own money. I have since given it to my sister; I wonder if she still has it? Anyway, yeah, that album did have a very good mix. Men at Work were one of the few bands that were still cool even with flute solos!

At a time when everyone was trying hard to be different, Men At Work were Different in the right way. Clever Lyrics, Unusual Instrumentation, and good Song Writing. If they hadn't had a major hit with "Down Under" they'd probably be more popular today, but that song over-identified them with the 80's.

All,

Cue up "Down by the Sea", dial up the stereo to optimum volume, close your eyes and you'll be in the zone!

MTV was good, you know, Music Television. I don't know what it is now but it definitely is not music television.

Check out some of Colin Hay's solo stuff. I thought it was pretty good.

Great band. Overkill is one of my favorite songs, and describes a lot of my life as well.

Colin's solo "Man at Work" version of that song is amazing.

Ditto that Steve!! A unique band with a very tasteful working of reggae into a commercial crossover sound.

Also would like to add that one of my most favorite British bands is
Level-42.
