I say get the regent, like everybody else says, you already have a strat.

I would also like to have an emperor regent. But I'm hesitant on it. I've had bad luck with Epiphones, the quality control just isn't worth a damn.

Regardless of my luck though, I think I would probably try another.

thats interesting, every Epi I've played is just fine. Except the some Les Pauls they don't feel right

Anyway thats what I'll do. For Christmas I'll pay for half of the guitar and my mom will pay for the other half. Its only 700 bucks right? I have $300 already so I could pay for more then! Cool!

I've got an Epiphone Special/Gibson in my collection of guitars and I love the way it feels and sounds. Everyone has had their bad experiences with one guitar brand or another. I can vouch for that, but it was not a Fender or an Epiphone. Just thougt I would share my 2 cents.

I have the players Strat and I love it. I am very happy with my purchase. But that Epi looks really nice. Keep us posted on what you get.

well. I'm saving up for the strat now, the Epi fell through, I think I might get t least $200 off the normal price (not the list price, the actual price) of it and get an American Case too.

oh, it just didn't feel right i guess, I played it for 1 and a half hours and then the strat, the strat felt better, I had my mom and grandma be sound checkers. (listen see what sounds good on which) the Epi didn't do to hot.

plus I can get a great deal hopefully on the strat, probably up to $250 off the store price!!

It's not like I'm never gonna get it, just not now, the strat seems more practical at the moment

My two cents: If a player can afford it, a semi or full hollowbody is a great addition to a collection. Tonally it opens lots of doors.

Have you considered an Epi Dot Studio? $200 bucks. Mines fantastic. The cheapest axe I've got and one of the most loved. Swapped out those cheap Epi pups and installed some Seymour Duncan Phat Cat 90's and I'm in rock n roll heaven. You'd never know it was a $200 guitar.
