comments? favorite songs? He is my 2nd favorite beatle. I like the songs:
Something
Bangla Desh
Taxman
My Sweet Lord
and Give Me Love (Peace on Earth)

I think he should be in the top 20 or 40 Best Guitarists in the world

"Have you seen the little piggies Crawling in the dirt And for all the little piggies Life is getting worse ..."

I love that song.

My fav has to be Taxman though. Then again, Within You and Without You is damn good too....

I love Revolver.

"She said, I know what it's like to be dead..."

Something

"Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her"

Taxman

"Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me
'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman"

Think For Yourself

"Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to"

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

"I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps"

Plus more - he's my favorite Beatle

And here's a few more -

All Things Must Pass

"Now darkness only stays a nighttime
In the morning it will fade away"

Bangla Desh

"It's something we can't neglect
It's something I can't neglect"

Beware Of Darkness

"Watch out now, take care
Beware of the thoughts that linger"

Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)

"Help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to, touch and reach you with,
Heart and soul"

This Song

"But this song could well be
A reason to see - that
Without you there's no point to . . . this song"

Gil 8)

I'm not a Harrison fan, but I had to make a comment. If I'm guessing right, that's his collection in that pic up there. I love that epiphone casino peeking out from the side.

Any Casino owners out there??? I haven't ran across a Beatle fan yet that didn't have a Casino.

The natural guitar to the left with the bigsby is a Casino. I almost bought one, it looked like this and it was a special edition

My favorite George Harrison song is "Only a Northern Song". Those are the coolest lyrics ever!!!

And of course "While My Guitar Gently Sleeps" is a guitarists anthem.

Ya know that Clapton played slide on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", right?

I think George Harrison was the most misunderstood Beatle. He was a very talented lyricist and composer. I really liked him and am very sorry he is gone. I think he had much more to offer. And he obviously was quite fond of John Lennon........or was he maybe talking about someone else?

".....You said it all, but not many had ears; all those years ago."

God, we could spend all day on George Harrison and his songs...his influence was on almost every Beatles song, so lets not forget them. I had a casino, sold it cause I didn't play it much. It is a very underrated guitar and had a lot of bite. IMHO it is one of the top five mass produced hollow bodies

I really like George Harrison. Both with the Beatles and after. I do not have a favorite Beatle, they were the sum of their parts. In my opinion as a guitarists he was the 3rd best guitar player in the Beatles. That is not a shot on his playing at all.

I liked George's playing and one of my bands covers "Beware of Darkness" which I love playing and has some nice, but rather haunting, chord patterns.

George wrote some very nice songs and I am glad that I learned "Something", but I still forget some parts of the solo.

Is that picture photoshopped ? Poor George's head looks a tad large for his body. :?:
