Guns, smoke and coffee......related to Hunter Thompson? Welcome to the club.

Oh, my ambitions are to enjoy life, keep jamming, explore the world and myself, and somewhere down the line write a book.

I'd be willing to bet your a Vonnegut fan too???

I'm not, but I'm always open to new authors. What made you think I would be?

Altho I am familiar with his 'ice-nine' idea, I remember it being mentioned in another book (now that I can't remember heh). I'll give him a shot, but I'm not usually that into science-fictiony books.

I'm Isaac from San Antonio, TX. My forum name comes from the Hebrew version of my name (Yitzkhak) and the year of my birth. Usually I go by "Obed" online, but it was already taken here. I'm a real estate appraiser by profession and am working on a graduate degree at Wayland Baptist University.

I've been playing since high school in the 90's. Had a garage band called Jeremiah's Commission with my brother and a couple of friends back then. I led the worship band at my church for several years, but have just recently stepped down from that. These days I'm trying to get my songs ironed out so that I can fulfill my dream of actually recording an original CD. I occationally make the rounds in the coffee house circuit playing acousticy folk stuff. I don't have a band, but jam regularly with some friends.

My axes are a 2007 Standard Stratocaster, a 2000 Epiphone Dove acoustic/electric, a 2000 Epiphone Les Paul Deluxe, and a 2007 Epiphone EB-3 "SG" Bass. Mostly, I like blues and classic rock.[/list]

I'm Riley, a 15-year-old from Southeast Missouri. My dad plays a Fender banjo (I hate bluegrass) and I play a '61 Gibson Melody Maker, an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and a Fender Stratocaster Standard. I've been playing for half a year so I'm not that great. My favorite genre of music is metal...Hardcore metal, hair metal, sleaze metal, thrash metal, power metal, speed metal, nu metal, (some) death metal, and Christian metal.

I figured a Kerouac reader would like Vonnegut. If your not into the scifi thing try Slaughter House Five. It mixes a time travel theme with his actual experiences as a prisoner in WW!! Dresden during the firebombing. Not an easy read but wow......

Name is Dave. 24 years old, be 25 in July. Single and looking, 1 beautiful 5 year old girl, 1 dog. My s/n is my passion and my current state of residence.
Been playing guitar over 10 years now, bought my bass slightly used in 98, and my Strat in 99, and my Telecaster about a week ago!
Inactive Reservist Marine, recently discharged after my 6 year stint. Spent 3 years as a Scout/Sniper after some general duty as a grunt.
Currently working for a non-profit organization, while trying to round up the money to start my own guitar store. Wish me luck!

Hey everyone,

My name is Wade, I am 40 yrs. old and I live in Oklahoma. I am a self employed electrical contractor. I am a Navy veteran (1986-1990), married with two daughters.

I like firearms and do alot of shooting, and reloading of ammunition. I have recently started playing guitar again after having an old Hondo back when I was a teenager. I bought a Standard HSS Stratocaster a few weeks back and so far I am thrilled to death with it.

I look forward to meeting some of you, and hopefully you wont mind me asking some questions from time to time.

Take it easy

i spend all my time on my guitar, music, sleeping (which is a waste of time), finishing up school, skiing (terrain parks mostly, and some backcountry), and skating. I started playing guitar by taking my brothers stella out of his room when he wasn't home and taught myself, when i was about 7. i started by playing his right-handed guitar left-handed, but eventually i relized i had to make my life easier and i started learning right-handed. if i only had known back then that there were such things as left-handed guitars in the world.....
