199? American '52 Tele reissue with BareKnuckle p/ups
2004 Gretsch G3140 Historic
2007 Les Paul Standard GoldTop with Burstbuckers
1991 Takamine Acoustic

Check out some of our stuff at:

Been playing guitar since 1964. Been a New Orleans resident since 1994. Been a regular performer at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in the French Quarter for the last 12 years.

Still getting my rig back together after totally losing everything in Katrina. Main axe right now is a CAR Eric Johnson Strat which I love.

I think that it would be interesting if people posted the reason behind their user names as well as the mini bio.

For instance, BlankGen = The song by Richard Hell & The Voidoids, "Blank Generation"

Well my user name is made of my initials. My first name is Erik, my middle name starts with a V and my last name starts with an H. I put the year I was born after that to distinguise myself from the other, better known EVH (you know, Eddie Van Halen.) I've been a fan of his since I was a little boy. I've been playing for 14 years.

Jonathan 30 yr old, from KC Mo. Sys Admin for a telecom company. Started playing when I was 12, quit when I was 18 (dumb). I met my wife in 03, married her in 06 she was the main reason I got back into playing

In the summer of 04 I was half heartedly kidding around with her one day and said buy me a American Deluxe Strat, and I will marry you. A few weeks later I walk out to my car after work and there she was standing next to my car holding a AmD Strat, she said 2 things to me 1st "guess you have to marry me now", and " you need to start playing again!!"

She didn't know what she was getting herself into. She has created a monster, the guitar has now become the 2nd most important thing in my life (family 1st) Love the Blues, currently playing in a classic rock cover b and, and working on my solo Blues project, called MisguidedBlues.

I now own along w/ my Am Deluxe, a 62 Am Vintage, highway 1 tele, John Mayer Sig., and JagStang, and have plans for a few more Fender beauties in the future....

I use the handle ancient mariner from mountainbiking forums - I rode a Marin and I was always the oldest (but not slowest) rider in the group I rode with. And it does have a cool, classical ring to it.

while mine has a double meaning
1.I will play the guitar for life
2.as in play so people can live
I got it from what a friend wrote to me in my yearbook in 6th grade

X - Road 28 was born from a very somber yet important time in my life where a decision I made shaped what I believe will be the rest of my existence.

Suffice to say it went along the lines of my first love many moons ago, 2/14 Valentines Day ( 2 x 14 = 28 ) and the Crossroad where we parted ways. My handle is a reminder of the good and bad times and the struggles we went thru to overcome.

X

Mine's just something radom I came up to use on IRC and message boards. I think it was the first thing I came up with that I could throw into Google and it wouldn't return any results so I used it.

Unfortunately for me that was years ago now and a company in the States called Correctional Properties Trust just decided to rename themselves to CentraCore Properties Trust - way to thieve my net handle.

Feathers = My last name

I think mine is pretty obvious... I like strats and I like loud blues/rock/alt.country bands. STRATOBLASTER.... I also have been playing for a while so I guess you might say that even though I suck... I kinda think that it's the only thing that I was meant to do... play guitar. So I Blast my Strat every chance I get!!

Cool thread.

Hello... I'm Mark aka Juice, a 30 year old serving in the Navy (actually on a ship at this moment in the middle of the ocean). I've played music my entire life (since I was three) and started guitar about 15 years ago.

As for the name, it was my band, the Juice Daddies. The story goes, when I was opening for a local Dallas band, I asked my two year old what we should name the band; at that time, her English wasn't exactly developed, but she knew one phrase. She looked at me and held up her sippy cup and said it, "Juice Daddy?" So Juice has been with me ever since.

I could go on and on about my obsession with Fender, but I'll save that for the rest of the boards.
