If it's not to personal why not have members tell a bit about themselves, interests/hobbies - instrument/s you play - etc, etc.

My name is Gus, friends call me X and I'm a 41 year old guitar-a-holic, been buying and selling a ton of gear since I was in my teens. If I would have only kept half of it I'd be rich.

Age has finally settled me down to were I work hard and play hard, I collect knives and spend the rest of my time hacking away at the guitar with my boys, one is a drummer and the other a better guitar player than me!!

I'll keep buying guitars and amps, mostly Fender but I would like to venture out a bit and dabble with a PRS and a Swart amp or Carr Mercury.

I enjoy the community and family sense that a good forum brings and I try to bring a positive attitude to them. Well, enough about me!! how about you?

X

Yo X! Y'all X-Road is another great player!

I'm Tony Houston, guitarist in The Primetime Blues Band http://www.primeblues.com based in Columbus OH. We've been together for over 11yrs.

Primetime has opened for many, many national blues acts, Lonnie Brooks, the late great Luther Allison, Koko Taylor, Debbie Davis and many more.

Recently, we've had to take a break because our bass player is battling cancer, and he appears to be winning the battle :!:

I've been playing guitar since 1972, in that same year I brought my first Strat, and I still have it. I played for 5yrs with Snapper Mitchum, he gave me the chance to play with Junior Wells and Buddy Guy back in the '80s. I also backed Lefty Dizz and Johnny Dollar with Snapper.

I've been playing since I was 16 - nearly 30 years now, but I'm not quite at the same level as some guys. Bought my first strat (MIJ standard) in '89 after trying about 25 strats, and it's still number 1.

I play mostly in the church these days, although I had a couple of gigs last year at a local show (enjoyed the rock'n'roll band the most). I mod guitars, build amps, mountain bike and try to keep the fat at bay. Web-wise I've been the AM since the late 90s, and you'll normally find me on Harmony Central, Christian Musician Forum, certain mountainbike forums and on my blog.

I'm an Austrian living in the UK, and will usually have a different view of things from most people.

Brad Traweek, Manager of Web Development for Fender. Web programmer and software engineer, guitar collector and gear hound, father of two, and husband of one. :-) A significant proponent of the whole "online enthusiast community" concept. I've been playing for about 22 years and continue to find this whole guitar hobby pretty much the coolest thing ever invented.

i'm nick, 21 years old (and counting), graduated from university with a computer information systems degree and now i work for the government. :P

i started playing guitar just last summer (due to a spur of the moment decision) but i've played piano since before i can remember so i think that helped me pick it up quickly.

so when i'm not spending my time playing guitar now i'm snowboarding, mountain biking and wakeboarding.

Emery Fry, Fender Product Education Manager, 39, playing for 30 years. Married, 3 cats, 15 guitars, 5 amps, more pedals than I can count...and counting.

This is a great opportunity for Fender fans and Fender folks to get to know each other and discuss what makes us tick.

As the Manager of Product Education, I am focused on spreading the Fender word. The Product Specialists are out in the streets at events and in stores doing demos and discussing all things Fender.

Check out what's going on in our world @ http://www.myspace.com/fenderguys

I'm Chris, 30something office goon by day .. wannabe axe-slinger by night. I've been playing around 15 years or so off and on. (There was a miltary period where I wasn't able to travel with a guitar) I've owned a number of Strats over those years, the latest being an EJ.

I'm Matt- 18 year old college student and I've been loving guitar since I was a toddler when my mom would play stuff on her classical. Got into at 12 and lately I've been listening to and playing lots of punk, garage, rock n roll and blues.

Scott Jones, 46 (eek!), Bassist & frustrated Guitarist, but I always wanted to be... a Lumberjack! I am an Employee Benefits Insurance Underwriter in the Los Angeles area during the day (now pleasantly interrupted by frequent Fender Lounge Forum postings). On the weekends I plunk out eighth-notes on the bass for a local U2 tribute band. I spend my evenings trying to figure out how I could possible afford more Fender basses and guitars.

50th Anniversary Custom Shop '54 Stratocaster Reissue
Custom Classic Jazz Bass - 3 Tone/Maple
'59 Custom Shop Precision Bass Reissue (NOS) - Blonde/Rosewood
'66 MB (Mark Kendrick) Fender Jazz Bass - Firemist Gold/Rosewood soon

No offense to Adam Clayton, but I'd rather be playing Motown Classics per Bootsy Collins and James Jamerson...

Nice to meet y'all...

I'm Chet Feathers, 51 year old father/stepfather of 7, grandfather of 4. I'm disabled/retired, but have a little hobby home business as an Authorized Dealer for TonePros and WD Music Products.
I started playing musical instruments at age 10, My first instrument was clarinet, I then took on Saxophone, Trumpet, Drums, Guitar and Bass. I'm Left Handed so Guitars and Basses were right handed, flipped over and restrung.
I played until I was about 25 and gave it up. I picked it back up in 2000 (44 years old) and have been buying and selling guitars and basses until I found my current ones. I have also learned to do a lot of my own guitar repairs/mods.

I'm Chris and I'm a fenderholic. 43 years young, been playing guitar for only the last three. I am just now at the point were I want to play out. Looking for a drummer and bass player so I can fulfill my dream. I don't have any aspirations about being a star, crap I have no talent, no timing, and plus my wife won't let me have any groupies. But I do want to experience the thrill of playing in front of people in a bar, hopefully while I can still dodge the beer bottles! I have 4 sons 16, 18, 20, and 23. The two younger ones started playing guitar when I did. I am a tech guy working in the industry for the last 23 years. Oh and I just quit smoking. I am on day 10!

I'm Max and 16.

Been playing bass for 3 years now, and 2 of them I have spent on my Fender P-Bass. Got a whole life of bass playing ahead of me which I look forward to! Fender basses will always be the soul of my rig.
