my question is: Which musician put in the greatest effort to change the world.
this can be any musician and any world, the world of music, the world of soul, and just the world

My opinion is:
Bob Marley, tried to help people in need with music. ( the whole world, but especially Africa, and ofcourse, he sorta invented reggae, so he certainly changed the world of music)

to make it easier i also added a poll.
feel free to ask me to add options

edit: crap i should've added bob dylan and kurt cobain

I feel John Lennon put out the greatest effort

However, I think Louie Armstrong did more to change music, step across racial boundries and unite ppl almost without trying.
Truly an effortless master

Even though he doesn't write the kind of music I like (Red Hot Chili Peppers) I think Ozzy Osbourne changed music most. I mean he practically invented heavy metal, which I have no particular taste for at all, but I know many people do so that's good enough for me.

Benny Goodman, too. He was one of the first (maybe the first) to lead an Interacial Band.

I can not name just one. Music goes in many directions all at once. There were many who in their own way changed a direction of music.

Denying the effects of Elvis Presley is to not know anything about music. This was a white boy singing black music.

The same can be said for all the guys in Harlem that brought jazz to a wider audience.

There's no one person that's done the most. They all did different things.
