... that our new Pete Wentz giveaway is pretty cool. Unique opportunity to win the very Fender® TB-600C bass amp and Squier® Pete Wentz signature bass that Pete used in the studio on Fall Out Boy's new release Folie á Deux -- which just came out today, by the way.

I've been regularly borrowing one of the TB-600C's myself lately to use with my new band, and it's a MONSTER amp. I want one! Heck, come to think of it, *I* want to win this giveaway! Perhaps I should quit my job so I can become eligible??!! :-)

Since I'm rambling on here, I should mention that we actually had a quick visit from Pete (and fellow FOB member Patrick Stump, who has a new Gretsch signature model) last week out at the offices -- the main purpose was to give Pete a pretty cool gift for his baby boy, Bronx Mowgli: a baby-sized Precision Bass® guitar! Here's a shot of the Squier Pete Wentz P Bass® guitar next to the Fender Bronx Mowgli P Bass guitar:

And hey, you've gotta respect anyone married to a Simpson, right? :-)

I'm not a FOB fan but that is a cool looking set of basses Brad. Fender is a generous company and lucky to have you. So keep your job and if I win you can use the equipment any ole time!

Not a FOB fan. Nice basses. I'd learn to play if I won one.

I love the baby bass ... probably about the right size for my fat (or is it no longer P.C. to call one's fingers fat?) little fingers. Yep, it would look great next to the fretless P-bass I have. But then, the full sized model isn't bad looking either.

Pretty cool. 8)

I'm really excited about the amp. The bass is nice too.
It's a very cool contest.
Thanks Fender and thanks Pete.

My daughter says they are a Pop/Alternative band. I have heard a couple songs on the radio...nothing to write about. The basses are cool looking. I would learn a new instrument if I won one...but I would not go out and buy one.

I saw Fall Out Boy on Letterman (from last week, Tuesday, I think it was) -- I had it on DVR. I'm not sure what to make of it! I'll have to check out another tune or two on YouTube.

The two guitars and the bass had lights built into the tops of the guitars and they blinked on and off in sync. Not real impressive.

Yes, I saw those guitars before we shipped them to the band and have to admit, not really my bag either. Anyhow, at least you know who they are now. :-)

And, hey, for anyone who's not digging this particular giveaway we have the 50th Anniversary Jazzmaster® giveaway running simultaneously. So ... there's something fun for everyone!
