Hey,
Right thanks man, only 40 made by Fender in '98
Wow!! what are they worth today ?
I know you can pick up a Burns Marvin for about £600 in the UK
Won't be in the same league as the Fender though.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know Fender had made one.

Just marketing. What name is popular at the time and who is your target market. Most of the players who have signature guitars played a lot of guitars other then the one that carries there signatue. I am not into the signature guitar thing. Sad but true just because it is named after someone does not meen it will make me be able to play like them

At least they gave Averil Lavigne a Squier, and a pretty cheap one at that. Kinda like Givin' her a Ham Sandwich and tellin' her to sit at the kids table.

That was cold, funny as heck but cold. What does she do anyway, does she sing or play guitar?

She sings and plays powerchords.

I wasn't gonna go there with the "cheap Squier" thing but it was hella funny

There is a cure built in cure for signature series guitars. If they don't sell, they're gone whether the artist is deserving of accolades or not. This is the real world.

Even the Les Paul was discontinued for a chunk of the 60's.
Now that's a deserving signature guitar.

Too often signature guitars are an excuse to charge more for a guitar.
