I wonder if Fender will ever re-create or build a Rory Gallagher edition Stratocaster?

Got excited there for a minute, I thought you were gonna say that they had announced it was coming.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait.

Save up your pennies and nickles, one of those expensive Custom Shop relics....

I'am a BIG Rory Gallagher fan ( as some of my posts will show  ) and I've been a guitar player for a long time. My first electric guitar was a 1957 Strat that I would dearly love to have still.

If you can afford the fairly steep price, around $3000, you will esentially have a vintage Strat at a bargain price. The sound of this Strat is unreal
and it feels the same way in your hands. Do I have one.... NO.... my wife has made threats against my health  if I get " another" guitar. MY brother did own one and he let me keep it for a month.... :D :D :D :D :D .....perhaps I will tempt fate one day !!!!

This is one guitar I've put on my wish list for when I can sneak the thing in the house and keep it hidden from my wife. It will be tough, she's developed a sixth sense for when a new guitar is in the house.
I don't know how she does it.

I'm plotting on how to sneak a Les Paul into the house right now.
I already have several Strats and a Tele so I figure it's okay to branch out.

Okay, I've been made aware there is a R.G. Strat!
I've looked on Fender's product list at their web-sit, but it isn't shown.
Is it still available?
Thanks!

Wow! You saw the original one?
Were you fortunate enough to ever see R.G. in concert too?
